Mission, Vision and Values
Mission:
The purpose of the Nonprofit Collaborative is to unite nonprofit organizations to amplify their collective voice, advance fair and equitable public policy, and safeguard the sustainability of vital community services in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Through collaboration, shared advocacy, and unified messaging, the Nonprofit Collaborative strengthens the impact of nonprofits and the communities they serve.
Vision:
The Nonprofit Collaborative envisions a thriving community where nonprofits are recognized, supported, and empowered to shape public policy, ensure equitable access to resources, and build a stronger, more resilient region for all.
Values:
Collaboration over Competition: Fostering cooperation, solidarity, and shared purpose.
Transparency and Trust: Upholding open, respectful communication built on integrity.
Equity and Inclusion: Ensuring all voices are valued, especially those historically underrepresented.
Nonpartisan Advocacy: Centering advocacy on people and communities rather than politics.
Communication and Shared Language: Utilizing clear, consistent, and unified messaging to strengthen advocacy efforts.
